Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Journalism/Reporting Intern to join our English-language editorial team in Weimar. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international journalism, content creation, and media production. You will work closely with experienced journalists, editors, and producers, contributing to our various platforms, including online articles, social media content, and potentially broadcast segments. This is a fantastic chance for aspiring journalists to develop their reporting skills, understand the nuances of international news, and make a tangible contribution to a leading global broadcaster.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct research on current events and relevant topics for English-language news and feature stories.
• Assist journalists and editors in drafting articles, reports, and social media posts.
• Verify facts, gather information, and identify compelling narratives.
• Transcribe interviews and assist with audio/video editing where required.
• Support content localization and adaptation for diverse audiences.
• Participate in editorial meetings and contribute fresh ideas for coverage.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to content production and archiving.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (native or near-native level).
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proven interest in current affairs, international politics, and media.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, English, or a related field.
• Prior experience with content management systems (CMS) or basic video/audio editing software.
• Knowledge of German or another foreign language.
• Familiarity with social media platforms for journalistic purposes.
