Are you passionate about ecology and eager to apply your data analysis skills to real-world environmental challenges? ERM is looking for a motivated Ecology Intern to join our team, focusing on remote data analysis. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental consulting, working with a global leader in sustainability. The intern will support our ecological projects by analyzing various datasets, including remote sensing data, species distribution models, and environmental impact assessments. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within Austria.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the collection, organization, and validation of ecological datasets from various sources.
• Conduct data analysis using statistical software and geographical information systems (GIS).
• Support the development and interpretation of ecological models and reports.
• Contribute to the preparation of environmental impact assessments and biodiversity studies.
• Perform literature reviews and research on specific ecological topics.
• Collaborate with senior ecologists and project managers on ongoing projects.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all tasks.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong understanding of ecological principles and environmental science.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python).
• Basic knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or a related field.
• Experience with remote sensing data analysis.
• Familiarity with biodiversity assessment methodologies.
• Prior internship or project experience in environmental consulting or research.
