Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our Corporate Infrastructure team in Vienna. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions for Cisco’s corporate network infrastructure. You will play a critical role in protecting our assets from evolving cyber threats, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems. This position requires deep expertise in network security principles, protocols, and technologies, along with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and proxies.
• Monitor security systems for anomalies, investigate security incidents, and develop effective countermeasures.
• Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in accordance with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into network designs and application deployments.
• Respond to security alerts and incidents, providing expert analysis and remediation steps.
• Stay current with the latest security threats, technologies, and regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical security incident response.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Expertise in network security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS, DNSSEC, BGP Security).
• Proficiency with major firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Check Point).
• Strong understanding of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Experience with VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles and technologies (e.g., RADIUS, TACACS+).
• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing tools.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
