Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Speaking Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team in Graz. This hybrid role requires a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance within the banking sector. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Oversee general ledger operations and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by senior management.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for international reporting and communication.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting principles (UGB in Austria).
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
• Experience with financial modelling and data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of German is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for financial institutions.
