Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Planner to join our dynamic team in Graz. This role focuses on the planning, design, and delivery of diverse infrastructure projects, ranging from urban mobility solutions to large-scale regional transport networks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing sustainable transport strategies, conducting impact assessments, and providing expert advice to clients and project teams. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to projects that enhance connectivity, reduce congestion, and promote environmentally friendly transportation modes.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead or contribute to the development of transport plans, strategies, and policies for various infrastructure projects.
• Conduct transport modelling, data analysis, and forecasting to inform planning decisions.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and business cases for transport schemes.
• Undertake traffic impact assessments and evaluate the effects of development proposals on transport networks.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and secure necessary approvals.
• Support public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, environmental specialists, and other disciplines within project teams.
• Stay updated with relevant transport legislation, policy, and best practices.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in transport planning or related fields, particularly with infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of transport planning principles, policies, and methodologies.
• Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., PTV Visum, CUBE, SATURN) and GIS tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
• Professional membership with a relevant institution (e.g., RTPI, CIHT, VDEI).
• Experience with Austrian or European transport policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in German (written and spoken).
• Experience in public transport planning or active travel (cycling/walking) infrastructure.
