We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Privacy Officer to join our Compliance Team in Neukölln, Berlin. This critical role involves ensuring Deutsche Bank’s adherence to all relevant data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, national data protection acts, and internal policies. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring our data privacy framework, providing expert advice to various business units, and managing privacy-related incidents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background in data privacy, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to compliance.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all data privacy matters within assigned business units.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the bank’s data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with global and local regulations (e.g., GDPR, BDSG).
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and provide recommendations to mitigate privacy risks.
• Advise on data privacy aspects of new projects, products, and services, ensuring 'privacy by design' principles are integrated.
• Monitor compliance with data protection laws and internal policies, conducting regular audits and reviews.
• Manage and respond to data subject requests (e.g., access, rectification, erasure) in a timely and compliant manner.
• Investigate and manage data breaches, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and remediation.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on data privacy best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with supervisory authorities (e.g., DPA) and external legal counsel as required.
• Stay informed about developments in data protection laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Data Privacy Officer, Legal Counsel in Data Protection, or similar compliance role.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR, German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and other relevant data protection regulations.
• Strong understanding of data processing operations, information security practices, and IT systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate complex legal and technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
