Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Speaking Cognitive Psychology Researcher to join our team in Thun. This hybrid role involves conducting cutting-edge research in cognitive psychology, contributing to ongoing projects, and initiating new studies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical background, excellent methodological skills, and a passion for exploring the intricacies of human cognition. You will be responsible for designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and disseminating research findings through publications and presentations. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and implement research studies focusing on various aspects of cognitive psychology, including memory, attention, decision-making, and language processing.
• Develop and validate experimental paradigms, stimuli, and data collection protocols.
• Conduct empirical research using behavioral methods, eye-tracking, or other relevant neuroscientific techniques.
• Perform advanced statistical analysis and interpretation of complex datasets.
• Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including faculty, post-docs, and graduate students.
• Contribute to grant writing and funding applications.
• Supervise and mentor junior researchers or student assistants as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ethical research guidelines.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of post-doctoral research experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design and advanced statistical analysis (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (C1 level or higher).
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Experience with relevant research software and methodologies (e.g., Psychopy, E-Prime, eye-tracking systems).
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with computational modeling or machine learning techniques applied to cognitive data.
• Familiarity with neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG) and analysis software.
• Experience in grant writing and project management.
• Knowledge of German or French is a plus but not required.
