We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Innovation Manager to lead corporate innovation initiatives within ABB. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and implementing new technologies, business models, and partnerships that will drive future growth and maintain our competitive edge. The Innovation Manager will work across various business units, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to transform nascent ideas into viable, market-ready solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of industrial technology.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and execute innovation strategies aligned with ABB’s long-term business goals.
• Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and disruptive business models relevant to ABB's sectors.
• Lead and manage innovation projects from ideation through prototyping, pilot, and commercialization.
• Foster a culture of innovation across the organization through workshops, hackathons, and cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with startups, research institutions, venture capitalists, and industry partners.
• Evaluate potential innovation investments and partnerships, presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
• Monitor and report on the progress and impact of innovation initiatives.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and lean startup principles within innovation projects.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in innovation management, corporate venturing, or product development.
• Strong understanding of industrial technologies, automation, and digitalization.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess new market opportunities and technological advancements.
• Proficiency in innovation frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup).

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with open innovation platforms and ecosystems.
• Familiarity with intellectual property management and commercialization processes.
• Prior experience in a global, matrixed organization.
• Proficiency in German or another major European language.
