Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Alumni Relations Manager to join our advancement team. This pivotal role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs and communications designed to engage and foster lasting relationships with ESMT Berlin’s global alumni community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building communities, excellent communication skills (especially in English), and a proven ability to organize engaging events and initiatives. This is an on-site position based in Berlin, requiring active participation in campus life and direct engagement with our diverse alumni network.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy to strengthen relationships and foster a lifelong connection between alumni and ESMT Berlin.
• Plan, organize, and manage a portfolio of alumni events, both in-person (on-campus and internationally) and virtual, including reunions, networking events, workshops, and speaker series.
• Manage and enhance alumni communication channels, including newsletters, social media, and the alumni portal, ensuring engaging and relevant content.
• Collaborate with career services, admissions, and program departments to facilitate alumni involvement in mentorship, recruitment, and student support initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date alumni records within the CRM database.
• Identify and cultivate potential alumni volunteers and donors in collaboration with the fundraising team.
• Represent ESMT Berlin at external events and engage with alumni stakeholders.
• Prepare reports on alumni engagement metrics and program effectiveness.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) – essential for global alumni engagement.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in alumni relations, community management, event planning, or similar roles, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and digital communication tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Proficiency in German is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising or donor relations.
