Join the Emmi AG team as a Dairy Farm Assistant with early morning starts. This crucial role supports the daily operations of a modern dairy farm, ensuring the health and welfare of our herd and the efficient production of high-quality milk. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, from milking and feeding to general farm maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who enjoys working outdoors and with animals, and who is committed to early mornings to kickstart the day’s operations. Full training will be provided.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Assist with daily milking routines, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.
- Prepare feed and water for dairy cows and calves.
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to the farm manager.
- Clean and maintain milking parlors, stalls, and farm equipment.
- Participate in general farm duties, including bedding down, fencing, and minor repairs.
- Operate farm machinery safely after receiving proper training.
- Adhere strictly to all farm health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Assist with moving cattle between pastures and barns.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for early morning shifts.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working with large animals.
