Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Speaking 5G Network Planner to join our dynamic team in Mariahilf, Vienna. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the design, planning, and optimization of our next-generation 5G mobile network. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal network performance, capacity, and coverage, contributing directly to the digital future of Austria. This role requires a strong understanding of 5G technologies, radio network planning tools, and a commitment to delivering high-quality network solutions.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop detailed 5G radio network plans, including site selection, antenna configuration, and frequency planning.
• Perform capacity planning and optimization to meet current and future traffic demands for the 5G network.
• Utilize radio planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet, Mentum Planet) for network design and analysis.
• Conduct drive tests and post-processing analysis to evaluate network performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with deployment teams, vendors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of network plans.
• Analyze network KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and generate reports to monitor network health and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest 5G standards, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide technical guidance to resolve them.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong command of English, both written and spoken (C1 level minimum).
• Proven experience in radio network planning for 4G/5G mobile networks.
• Proficiency with radio planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, or Mentum Planet.
• Solid understanding of 3GPP standards, especially related to 5G NR architecture and features.
• Experience with network performance optimization techniques.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and draw actionable conclusions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Certifications in telecommunications or network planning (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei).
• Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python) for network planning tasks.
• Knowledge of other access technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, IoT) and their integration with 5G.
• Fluency in German is a plus.
