Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Geologist/Surveyor for field work to join our team in Ingolstadt. This role is crucial for our engineering and construction projects, involving extensive outdoor activities to collect, analyze, and interpret geological and topographical data. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate survey data and geological insights to support project planning, execution, and risk assessment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct geological and topographical field surveys using various surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, LiDAR).
• Collect and interpret geological samples, soil data, and rock formations.
• Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and cross-sections.
• Perform site investigations, risk assessments, and environmental impact studies.
• Ensure accuracy of all collected data and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate geological and survey data into project designs.
• Operate and maintain field equipment and vehicles.
• Document findings and observations clearly and concisely for internal and external reports.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in geological surveying or field geology.
• Proficiency in surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, levels, drones).
• Strong understanding of geological principles, soil mechanics, and rock identification.
• Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Ability to read and interpret topographic maps, geological maps, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German.

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Geologist, Licensed Surveyor).
• Experience with environmental site assessments or contaminated land investigations.
• Familiarity with German geological and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software for geological data.
