We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Hybrid Autonomous Driving Engineer to join our innovative team in Martigny, Valais. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development, simulation, and validation of cutting-edge autonomous driving functions. You will work on various aspects of the autonomous driving stack, from perception and sensor fusion to path planning and control, integrating hardware and software components. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with crucial on-site collaboration for prototyping, testing, and team synergy, ensuring you have the best of both worlds to drive innovation. Your expertise will directly contribute to bringing safe and reliable autonomous vehicles to the road.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and implement algorithms for perception, sensor fusion, localization, prediction, and path planning for autonomous driving systems.
• Perform extensive simulation, testing, and validation of autonomous driving software and hardware in the loop (HiL) systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and systems engineers to integrate and optimize AD functions.
• Analyze complex sensor data (LiDAR, Radar, Camera) to improve system performance and robustness.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of new autonomous driving features and system components.
• Participate in vehicle testing and data collection activities to validate algorithms and systems in real-world scenarios.
• Document designs, algorithms, and test procedures thoroughly.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
• Solid understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine learning fundamentals.
• Experience with sensor fusion techniques (e.g., Kalman filters, particle filters).
• Familiarity with autonomous driving perception algorithms and path planning methodologies.
• Experience with simulation environments (e.g., CARLA, Gazebo) and ADAS/AD toolchains.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
• Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System) or equivalent middleware.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for large-scale data processing.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry or with production-ready autonomous systems.
• Publications in relevant conferences or journals.
