Logitech is seeking an innovative and experienced Hybrid Haptics Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic R&D team in Basel. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and integrating cutting-edge haptic technologies into our next-generation consumer electronics products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial design, mechanical engineering, and software, to create immersive and intuitive user experiences. This position requires a deep understanding of haptic feedback principles, actuator technologies, control systems, and user perception, combined with a hands-on approach to prototyping and validation.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the research, design, and development of novel haptic feedback systems for consumer electronic devices.
• Collaborate with industrial design and product management to define haptic requirements and user experiences.
• Design and implement control algorithms for various haptic actuators (ERM, LRA, piezo, etc.).
• Prototype and test haptic solutions, including mechanical integration and electrical interfacing.
• Conduct user studies and gather feedback to refine haptic effects and ensure optimal perceptual quality.
• Analyze and troubleshoot haptic system performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Stay abreast of emerging haptic technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Document design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in haptics engineering, product development, or related hardware fields.
• Strong understanding of haptic feedback principles, psychoacoustics, and human perception.
• Proficiency in actuator technologies (ERM, LRA, piezo, voice coil motors) and their control.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, including 3D printing and machining.
• Familiarity with embedded systems development and real-time control (e.g., C/C++).
• Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, COMSOL, ANSYS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with user experience (UX) design principles related to haptics.
• Knowledge of sensor technologies for haptic interaction (e.g., force sensors, touch sensors).
• Prior experience in the consumer electronics industry.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
