Join Porsche AG as a Hybrid Motorsport Aerodynamics Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of high-performance racing vehicles. You will be responsible for the aerodynamic design, analysis, and optimization of our motorsport platforms, with a specific focus on integrating hybrid powertrain technologies. This role demands a deep understanding of fluid dynamics, simulation tools, and practical application in a competitive motorsport environment. You will work within a dynamic team to push the limits of performance and efficiency. This is a hybrid work model position, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Lead the aerodynamic design and optimization for hybrid motorsport vehicles from concept to track.
- Conduct advanced CFD simulations and interpret results to guide design decisions.
- Plan, execute, and analyze wind tunnel testing, track testing, and other experimental aerodynamic programs.
- Collaborate closely with powertrain, chassis, and vehicle dynamics engineers to integrate aerodynamic solutions with hybrid systems.
- Develop and implement innovative aerodynamic concepts to improve vehicle performance, stability, and energy efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in aerodynamics, hybrid technology, and motorsport regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Proven experience in motorsport aerodynamics, specifically with hybrid or electric racing vehicles.
- Expertise in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, Star-CCM+).
- Strong background in experimental aerodynamics, including wind tunnel testing and data acquisition.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Deep understanding of fluid dynamics principles and aerodynamic optimization techniques.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with multidisciplinary optimization (MDO) tools.
- Familiarity with German motorsport regulations and homologation processes.
- Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to communicate in German.
