We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Hybrid Motorsport Aerodynamics Engineer to join our cutting-edge racing team in Trier. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and optimization of aerodynamic components for our next-generation hybrid racing vehicles. You will integrate aerodynamic solutions with complex hybrid powertrain systems, contributing directly to our competitive edge on the track. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the aerodynamic design and optimization for hybrid motorsport vehicles, from concept to race-ready application.
• Conduct advanced CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing to evaluate and refine aerodynamic performance.
• Collaborate closely with powertrain, chassis, and vehicle dynamics engineers to ensure seamless integration of aerodynamic concepts with hybrid systems.
• Develop and implement innovative aerodynamic solutions that account for cooling, energy recovery, and hybrid system packaging constraints.
• Analyze race data to identify performance gaps and propose aerodynamic improvements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal teams and management.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aerodynamics, hybrid technology, and motorsport regulations.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in motorsport aerodynamics design and analysis.
• Strong proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+).
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
• Deep understanding of hybrid powertrain principles and their interaction with vehicle aerodynamics.
• Solid knowledge of fluid dynamics, boundary layer theory, and aerodynamic forces.
• Experience with wind tunnel testing and data acquisition/analysis.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced racing environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation tools.
• Familiarity with FMEA and other reliability analysis techniques.
• Prior experience in a top-tier motorsport category (e.g., F1, WEC, Formula E).
• Knowledge of lightweight material applications in motorsport.
