We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Hybrid Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our innovative shipbuilding team in Marburg. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating complex engineering designs into precise technical drawings and plans for various marine projects. You will work closely with naval architects and engineers, utilizing advanced CAD software to develop comprehensive documentation for production, assembly, and maintenance of submarines and surface vessels. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of both on-site collaboration and remote work, allowing you to contribute effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and models based on specifications from naval architects and engineers.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, Rhinoceros 3D) to develop and modify hull forms, structural arrangements, outfitting, and systems.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, classification society rules, and internal company guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts, implement changes, and improve overall design efficiency.
• Maintain and organize design documentation, ensuring accurate revision control and data integrity.
• Assist in the preparation of material lists, weight calculations, and other technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to enhance project outcomes.
• Support the production team with clear and concise drawings for fabrication and assembly processes.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and/or ShipConstructor.
• Strong understanding of naval architecture principles, marine structural design, and shipbuilding practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Solid knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes relevant to shipbuilding.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Familiarity with classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register).
• Experience in specific areas such as piping, HVAC, or electrical systems drafting within a marine context.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
