Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Petrochemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team at the chemical plant in Bottrop. This role involves a blend of on-site plant operations support and remote project work, focusing on optimizing existing processes, designing new units, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our petrochemical facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Optimize existing petrochemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and reduce costs.
• Design and implement new process units, including P&ID development, equipment specification, and process simulation.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA) and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support to plant operators.
• Monitor process performance, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and participate in capital projects, from conceptual design to commissioning.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with R&D, production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in petrochemical processing.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or chemical manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
• Strong understanding of mass and energy balances, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment sizing.
• Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) principles and hazard analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English and German.

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with advanced process control (APC) systems.
