Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and English-speaking Legal Intern to join our International Law practice in Geneva. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic international legal environment, working alongside experienced attorneys on complex cross-border cases. The intern will be exposed to various aspects of international law, including public international law, international trade law, human rights, and international arbitration. This role is ideal for law students or recent graduates eager to develop practical legal skills and contribute to impactful international legal work.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct comprehensive legal research on various international law topics and jurisdictions.
• Draft memoranda, legal opinions, and other legal documents under supervision.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for arbitrations, negotiations, and client meetings.
• Review and analyze legal documents, including treaties, contracts, and case law.
• Compile and organize case materials, exhibits, and discovery documents.
• Participate in team meetings, client discussions, and internal training sessions.
• Support the team with administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated interest in international law.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Law (LLB) or Master of Law (LLM) program, or a recent graduate.
• Previous experience in a legal setting (e.g., prior internships, pro bono work).
• Familiarity with international legal databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, KluwerArbitration).
• Knowledge of other languages, particularly French or German, is a plus.
