Join our innovative team in Frankfurt as a Lettuce Farm Assistant. You will be integral to the daily operations of our indoor vertical farm, focusing on the cultivation, care, and harvesting of various lettuce varieties. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is fluent in English and eager to learn and contribute to a sustainable food system.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform daily tasks related to plant care, including seeding, transplanting, and pruning lettuce varieties.
• Monitor plant health and growth, reporting any anomalies to the farm manager.
• Harvest mature lettuce according to established protocols and quality standards.
• Clean and sanitize farm equipment, grow beds, and general farm areas to maintain a sterile environment.
• Prepare produce for packaging and ensure proper labeling.
• Assist with inventory management of seeds, nutrients, and supplies.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations diligently.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly in English.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 20kg, standing for extended periods, and repetitive motions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Punctual and reliable work ethic.
• Basic understanding of plant care or willingness to learn quickly.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a similar production environment.
• Knowledge of hydroponics or vertical farming systems.
• Basic German language skills.
• Valid German driving license (Class B).
