WWF International is seeking a motivated and passionate Marine Biology Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical marine conservation efforts through data analysis and management. The successful candidate will assist in processing vast datasets related to marine species, habitat health, and human impacts, directly supporting research papers, reports, and strategic conservation initiatives. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Collect, organize, and manage marine biology data from diverse remote sources.
• Perform preliminary data analysis using statistical software or spreadsheets to identify key trends and patterns.
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports, presentations, and publications based on research findings.
• Conduct thorough literature reviews to support ongoing marine conservation projects and scientific inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all data, methodologies, and project progress.
• Collaborate effectively with remote teams and mentors to ensure data integrity and alignment with project goals.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of data visualization tools and dashboards.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication.
• Basic understanding of marine biology concepts, ecosystems, and conservation principles.
• Demonstrated experience with data entry, organization, and basic spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or a closely related field.

• Familiarity with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python with Pandas/NumPy) or Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
• Experience with cloud-based data storage and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive).

• Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French, German, or Spanish, is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
