Join our team as a Poultry Farm Assistant at our modern facility in Bamberg. This on-site role is crucial for the daily operations and well-being of our poultry. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is fluent in English and eager to contribute to a sustainable and efficient farming environment. You will be involved in various aspects of farm management, ensuring high standards of hygiene, animal welfare, and productivity. This is a full-time position requiring commitment and a hands-on approach.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Monitor the health and welfare of poultry, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist with feeding, watering, and general care of chickens.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of coops, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Collect eggs and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with vaccination programs and other animal health procedures.
- Record daily activities, feed consumption, and egg production data.
- Follow all farm safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of animal care or willingness to learn.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Previous experience working on a farm, especially with poultry.
- Knowledge of basic German is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certification in animal husbandry or a related agricultural field.
