Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Inspector (HSE) to join our team in Pforzheim. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our industrial sites. You will conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement preventative measures to foster a safe working environment for all employees and contractors. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of German and international HSE regulations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in safety practices.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly HSE inspections and audits on site to ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international standards.
• Identify potential safety hazards, unsafe acts, and environmental risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and prepare detailed reports.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors on various safety topics.
• Monitor the implementation of HSE procedures and safety work instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into all operational activities.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to management.
• Ensure all necessary permits and licenses related to HSE are current and in compliance.
• Promote a strong safety culture through regular communication and engagement initiatives.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Safety Inspector, HSE Officer, or similar role, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
• In-depth knowledge of German occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV).
• Strong understanding of environmental protection laws.
• Ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Excellent observational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging personnel at all levels.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Certified Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
• First aid certification.
• Experience in delivering safety training sessions.
