Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Work Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in social work within a leading humanitarian organization. You will support various projects focused on community outreach, client support, and program development, specifically within our English-speaking services. This is a 100% remote position, allowing flexibility while providing valuable exposure to the complexities and rewards of social work. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact, possess excellent communication skills in English, and be eager to learn and contribute to our mission.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist social workers in developing and implementing support plans for clients.
• Conduct research on social issues, resources, and best practices.
• Help organize and facilitate virtual support groups and workshops.
• Prepare and maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external partners.
• Support the development of educational materials and outreach campaigns.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
• Contribute to administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation of programs.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher)
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related program
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Basic knowledge of German (A2 level or higher)
• Previous volunteer or internship experience in a social services setting
• Familiarity with German social welfare system
• Experience with online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
