We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Werkstudent (student assistant) to join our team as an Art Gallery Assistant. This role is perfect for a student eager to gain practical experience in a prestigious art institution while ensuring a welcoming environment for our international visitors, particularly those speaking English. You will be a crucial point of contact, providing information, assisting with daily operations, and contributing to the overall positive experience of our guests.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Warmly welcome and greet international visitors, ensuring an excellent first impression for English-speaking guests.
• Provide general information about the museum, current exhibitions, artists, and facilities in a clear and friendly manner.
• Assist visitors with wayfinding, ticket inquiries, and general questions about their museum experience.
• Support the gallery staff with light administrative tasks and preparation for events or guided tours.
• Help maintain the tidiness and presentation of public areas within the museum.
• Monitor gallery spaces to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all visitors.
• Liaise with other museum departments to facilitate smooth operations and visitor services.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled as a student at a German university or college.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2 level) with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Genuine interest in art, culture, and museum operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Basic knowledge of German (A2/B1 level) is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar visitor-facing role.
• Familiarity with art history or an academic background in a related field.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
