Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Neuroscience Data Modeler to join our dynamic team in a hybrid capacity. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated data models for complex neuroscience datasets. You will collaborate closely with neuroscientists, statisticians, and software engineers to translate research hypotheses into robust data structures and analytical frameworks. This position requires a deep understanding of neuroscience principles combined with expert-level data modeling and analytical skills. The primary working language for this role is English.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data models for diverse neuroscience datasets, including electrophysiology, imaging, and behavioral data.
• Collaborate with research scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and metadata definitions.
• Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques for data analysis and interpretation.
• Provide technical expertise in data governance, data security, and compliance with ethical guidelines.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and modeling best practices.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in data modeling techniques (e.g., conceptual, logical, physical models).
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
• Understanding of neuroscience principles and data types (e.g., fMRI, EEG, single-unit recordings).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's or Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with specific neuroscience data analysis tools (e.g., BrainVoyager, SPM, FieldTrip).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in healthcare/research.
• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology research environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
