Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Backend Engineering Intern to join our innovative team in Tübingen. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing robust and scalable backend systems for cutting-edge automotive and IoT solutions. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world projects, and learning best practices in software development, from design to deployment. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to kickstart their career in backend engineering within a leading global technology company.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in a relevant programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to engineering standards.
• Help with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting backend applications.
• Contribute to the optimization of database queries and system performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Learn and apply new technologies and tools relevant to backend development.
• Document technical specifications and operational procedures.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++).
• Basic understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
