As a Hybrid Telecommunications Systems Architect at Volkswagen AG, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our next-generation telecommunications infrastructure. This role focuses on bridging traditional enterprise networks with cutting-edge mobile, IoT, and cloud-based communication solutions, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable connectivity across our global operations. You will define architectural standards, evaluate new technologies, and drive the integration of hybrid communication systems that support our innovative automotive products and digital services.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure hybrid telecommunications architectures.
• Lead the integration of traditional corporate networks with emerging technologies such as 5G, SDN/NFV, and cloud-based communication platforms.
• Evaluate new telecommunications technologies and vendors, recommending solutions that align with business objectives and architectural principles.
• Create detailed technical specifications, documentation, and implementation guidelines for telecommunications projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, product development, and manufacturing to ensure telecommunication solutions meet diverse requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies.
• Provide expert guidance and technical leadership for complex telecommunications challenges and initiatives.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical communication systems.
• Optimize existing telecommunications infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications architecture or network engineering.
• Profound knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and telecommunication standards (e.g., 3GPP, ITUT).
• Experience with both traditional enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, VPNs) and modern mobile/wireless technologies (4G/5G, Wi-Fi 6).
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and services (AWS, Azure, GCP) relevant to telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot complex telecommunications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Networking Specialist).

• Previous experience in the automotive industry or large-scale manufacturing environment.
