As a WordPress Expert at our remote agency, you will be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress solutions for a diverse range of clients. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a talented international team. We are looking for an individual with deep expertise in the WordPress ecosystem, capable of delivering robust, scalable, and secure websites. Your role will involve everything from custom theme and plugin development to optimizing site performance, ensuring best practices, and providing technical guidance. Excellent English communication skills are essential for client interactions and team collaboration.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress environments.
• Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of WordPress websites.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and security vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proficiency in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Strong understanding of WordPress core, APIs, and action/filter hooks.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for headless WordPress implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with front-end build tools (Webpack, Gulp).

• Previous experience working in a remote agency environment.
• German language skills are a plus, but not required.
