Rewe Group is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Heirloom Tomato Helper to join our agricultural support team in Frankfurt am Main. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have a keen eye for detail, and are eager to learn about the cultivation and care of premium heirloom tomatoes. Fluency in English is essential for daily communication within our diverse team, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding of tasks.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist with the planting, nurturing, and careful harvesting of various heirloom tomato varieties.
• Monitor plant health, diligently identify any signs of pests or diseases, and accurately report findings to supervisors.
• Prepare and meticulously package harvested tomatoes according to strict quality standards for local and regional distribution.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and optimal environmental conditions of the growing areas and packing facilities.
• Support irrigation and nutrient application processes as directed by senior staff.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines, food handling protocols, and hygiene standards to ensure product integrity and workplace safety.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential for team communication.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards for produce.
• Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong, proactive work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning about sustainable agriculture and fresh produce cultivation.

• Prior experience in a greenhouse, farm, or food production setting is a plus.
• Basic understanding of plant care or horticulture principles.
• Knowledge of basic German is an advantage, though not required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
