Join Outdoor Interlaken as an Outdoor Guide and lead guests through exhilarating adventures in the stunning Swiss Alps. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced guide with excellent English communication skills to ensure our international clientele has a safe, educational, and memorable experience. This role involves guiding various outdoor activities, maintaining equipment, and promoting a positive and adventurous spirit.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead and guide diverse outdoor activities such as hiking, canyoning, rafting, or ropes courses with groups of varying skill levels.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the duration of each activity.
• Provide clear, concise safety briefings and instructions in English.
• Educate guests about the local environment, culture, and specific activity techniques.
• Inspect and maintain all safety equipment, ensuring it meets company standards and regulations.
• Manage group dynamics and provide an engaging, positive, and memorable experience for all guests.
• Administer basic first aid if required and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Assist with logistical preparations and debriefings for tours.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of proven experience as an outdoor guide in adventure tourism.
• Relevant outdoor guiding certifications (e.g., UIMLA International Mountain Leader, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Canyon Guide certification, Raft Guide certification).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge of outdoor safety protocols and risk management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing conditions.
• Passion for the outdoors and sharing adventurous experiences.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Additional language proficiency (e.g., German, French, Spanish).
• Local knowledge of the Interlaken region and Swiss Alps.
• Experience with multiple types of outdoor activities.
• Driver's license (Category D1 or equivalent) for minibus transport.
• Formal education in outdoor recreation, tourism, or related field.
