Join EnBW as a Hybrid Tidal Energy Systems Designer and play a crucial role in the future of sustainable energy. We are seeking a talented and innovative engineer to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge hybrid tidal energy systems. This role involves integrating tidal power generation with other renewable sources or storage solutions to create efficient, reliable, and grid-friendly energy systems. You will be instrumental in the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, simulation, and performance analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on pioneering projects that advance the capabilities of marine renewable energy.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of hybrid tidal energy systems, integrating tidal turbines with energy storage, solar, or wind power.
• Perform feasibility studies, site assessments, and resource analysis for potential tidal energy locations.
• Conduct advanced numerical simulations and modeling to optimize system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop specifications for components, including tidal turbines, power conversion systems, grid connections, and control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, civil engineers, and environmental specialists.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and materials for marine environments.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in tidal energy, marine engineering, and renewable energy integration.
• Contribute to risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the design and analysis of renewable energy systems, preferably with exposure to marine or hydrokinetic energy.
• Proficiency in engineering simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, CFD tools).
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, hydrodynamics, and power conversion systems.
• Experience with grid integration challenges and solutions for renewable energy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for international collaboration.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with project management in renewable energy development.
• Familiarity with German energy regulations and standards.
