Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our Corporate Infrastructure team in Zurich. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security solutions across ABB’s global corporate infrastructure. You will play a key part in protecting our digital assets, ensuring compliance with security policies, and responding to evolving cyber threats. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, web application firewalls (WAFs), and secure access gateways.
• Monitor network security systems for anomalies, alerts, and potential breaches, and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop, review, and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with global IT security frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., network operations, application development, IT risk) to integrate security into all phases of the system development lifecycle.
• Perform root cause analysis for security incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our security posture.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on network security to other IT teams and business units.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Strong expertise with enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Fortinet) and their advanced features.
• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and network architecture design.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN), and secure remote access solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Solid understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements (GDPR).
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP, GIAC.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and SOAR platforms.
• Knowledge of industrial control system (ICS) security.
• German language skills.
