Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Safety Engineer to join our team in Lachen, Schwyz. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of fire prevention, protection, and compliance across our operations and projects. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining fire safety strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to all relevant national and international fire safety codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to safety management.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety plans and procedures.
• Conduct detailed fire risk assessments and safety audits for existing facilities and new projects.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international fire safety codes, standards (e.g., NFPA, EN standards), and regulations.
• Design and review fire protection systems, including active and passive fire protection measures.
• Investigate fire incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide expert advice and training on fire safety to employees and project teams.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, fire departments, and insurance companies.
• Manage fire safety documentation, including emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in fire safety technology and regulatory changes.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in fire safety engineering or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of Swiss fire safety codes, building regulations, and international standards (e.g., VKF, NFPA, EN standards).
• Proficiency in fire risk assessment methodologies and tools.
• Experience with the design and analysis of fire suppression and detection systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Master's degree in Fire Safety Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist – CFPS).
• Experience with CAD software and fire modeling tools.
