Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hybrid Battery Cell Development Engineer to join our innovative E-Mobility team in Chêne-Bourg. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the research, design, development, and testing of next-generation hybrid battery cells for various e-mobility applications. You will work within a dynamic R&D environment, contributing to the advancement of sustainable transportation and energy storage solutions. This position requires deep expertise in electrochemistry, material science, and battery system integration.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Lead the design, development, and characterization of hybrid battery cells for e-mobility and energy storage systems.
- Conduct electrochemical performance testing, including cycle life, calendar life, impedance spectroscopy, and safety evaluations.
- Perform material selection and optimization for electrodes, electrolytes, and separators to enhance battery performance and longevity.
- Develop and validate advanced battery models and simulation tools to predict cell behavior and optimize designs.
- Analyze complex experimental data, draw conclusions, and propose innovative solutions for technical challenges.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to integrate battery cells into larger packs and systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in battery technology, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation of research findings and development progress.
- Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and scientific publications.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in battery cell development, specifically with Li-ion or solid-state batteries.
- Strong understanding of electrochemical principles, battery degradation mechanisms, and cell manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in battery testing methodologies and characterization techniques (e.g., EIS, CV, GCPL).
- Experience with battery modeling and simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Excellent data analysis skills and experience with statistical tools.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with hybrid battery chemistries or alternative energy storage technologies.
- Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and pack-level integration.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations for battery systems.
- Proficiency in French or German.
