Join Siemens AG in Düsseldorf as a Hybrid Hardware Development Engineer and contribute to the cutting-edge of industrial automation and smart infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electronic hardware systems, from concept to production. You will work within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, leveraging your expertise to innovate and optimize our next-generation products. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both from our modern office in Düsseldorf and remotely, allowing for a balanced and productive work environment. We are looking for an ambitious engineer with a solid background in hardware design, a passion for problem-solving, and excellent English communication skills.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and test complex electronic circuits and systems for industrial applications.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout design, and component selection.
• Conduct hardware validation, debugging, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and system engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and design reviews.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Support product integration, manufacturing, and field deployment activities.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI principles.
• Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with high-speed serial interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet).
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, EtherCAT).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508).
• Experience in power electronics design.
• Proficiency in German is a plus, but not required.
