We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Hybrid Neuroscience Data Modeler to join our pioneering research and development team in Duisburg. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex neuroscience research and actionable data insights. You will design, develop, and maintain advanced data models to process and interpret vast datasets, including neuroimaging, electrophysiology, and behavioral data, contributing to the next generation of healthcare solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data science techniques, and a solid understanding of neurological concepts. The ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, English-speaking environment is essential.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and implement robust data models for complex neuroscience datasets (e.g., fMRI, EEG, MEG).
• Process, clean, and validate large-scale neuroscientific data to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with neuroscientists, clinicians, and software engineers to understand research questions and translate them into data modeling solutions.
• Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns and insights from neural data.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Create comprehensive visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in neuroscience, data science, and machine learning.
• Contribute to the documentation of data models, methodologies, and findings.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in data modeling, data analysis, or a related field, with a focus on biological or neuroscience data.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (with libraries like NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) and/or R.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and their application to complex datasets.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB).
• Solid grasp of fundamental neuroscience concepts and data types.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with neuroimaging analysis software (e.g., FSL, SPM, AFNI) or electrophysiology tools.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., medical device, pharmaceutical).
• Publications in relevant scientific journals or contributions to open-source projects.
