Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Offshore Wind Structural Engineer specializing in Marine Energy to join our dynamic team in Graz. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the structural design, analysis, and optimization of offshore wind turbine foundations and supporting structures. You will work on cutting-edge projects, contributing to the development of robust and efficient solutions that withstand the challenging marine environment. This position offers the opportunity to blend remote work with on-site collaboration, fostering a flexible yet integrated work experience.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design of offshore wind turbine foundations (monopiles, jackets, floating foundations) using advanced software.
• Develop and review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and structural reports in compliance with international standards and regulations.
• Conduct fatigue life assessments, ultimate limit state, and serviceability limit state analyses for marine structures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including naval architects, geotechnical engineers, and project managers, to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
• Innovate and implement new technologies and methodologies to optimize structural performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure all designs adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the offshore wind or marine energy sector.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, SACS, USFOS).
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics, dynamics, and fatigue analysis.
• Knowledge of international offshore structural design codes (e.g., DNV, API, Eurocodes).
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with floating offshore wind structures.
• Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for scripting and automation.
• German language skills.
