We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Localization QA Tester with native-level English proficiency to join our dynamic team in Graz. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the linguistic and functional quality of our localized software products, documentation, and marketing materials. You will work closely with localization managers, developers, and product teams to identify, document, and track localization defects, contributing directly to the global user experience of our cutting-edge software solutions.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform linguistic and functional testing of localized software, websites, and documentation, primarily focusing on English content.
• Identify, report, and track localization bugs (e.g., mistranslations, truncated text, incorrect formatting, cultural inconsistencies) in a bug tracking system.
• Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure the quality of subsequent builds.
• Collaborate with localization project managers, translators, and development teams to clarify requirements and provide feedback on localization quality.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of localization QA processes, tools, and test plans.
• Maintain and update localization glossaries and style guides.
• Provide linguistic support and feedback to translation vendors.
• Ensure adherence to localization best practices and company quality standards.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Native-level proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Familiarity with localization processes and CAT tools.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in Localization QA or software testing.
• Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., German, Spanish, French).
• Experience with test automation for localization.
• Knowledge of internationalization (i18n) and globalization (g11n) concepts.
