We are seeking a talented and innovative Packaging Technologist – Packaging Design to join our dynamic team in Graz. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing packaging solutions for a diverse range of products, ensuring functionality, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetic appeal. You will collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to bring cutting-edge packaging concepts from ideation to successful market launch. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the design and development of new packaging concepts, from initial brief to final production specification.
• Optimize existing packaging for improved performance, cost reduction, and enhanced sustainability (e.g., recyclability, use of recycled content).
• Conduct material selection, testing, and validation of packaging components to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to source new materials and technologies.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and prototypes for new packaging designs.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production teams during trial runs and initial production.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in packaging design and sustainability.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology, Industrial Design, Material Science, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging design and development within the FMCG, pharmaceutical, or industrial packaging sectors.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for packaging design and prototyping.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (e.g., paperboard, plastics, flexible films, glass) and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of packaging testing methods and quality assurance principles.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with sustainability assessments and life cycle analysis (LCA) tools for packaging.
• Knowledge of German language is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully launching innovative packaging solutions.
