Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor / Motion Graphics Artist to join our in-house production team in Oberhausen. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for editing compelling video content and crafting engaging motion graphics for various WDR platforms, including television, digital channels, and social media. You will work closely with producers, directors, and other creative professionals to bring stories to life, enhance visual narratives, and maintain WDR’s high broadcast and online standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and a comprehensive understanding of contemporary video editing and motion graphics techniques. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Design and animate sophisticated motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and visual effects.
• Collaborate with producers and creative teams to understand project requirements and visual goals.
• Ensure all video and motion graphics adhere to WDR's brand guidelines and technical specifications.
• Manage and organize media assets, maintaining a structured workflow.
• Incorporate feedback effectively and iterate on edits to achieve desired outcomes.
• Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in video editing and motion graphics.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, and storytelling.
• Expertise in 2D and 3D motion graphics animation and design.
• Knowledge of color correction, audio mixing, and sound design principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing video editing and motion graphics work.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Experience with Cinema 4D or other 3D animation software.
• Familiarity with broadcast standards and digital content delivery.
• Experience in news or documentary production.
• Fluency in German (B2 level or higher).
