We are seeking a highly motivated and English-speaking ‚Werkstudent‘ (working student) to join our Embedded Systems team in St. Moritz. This is an excellent opportunity for a student currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge embedded technologies. You will support our engineers in various stages of the embedded software development lifecycle, contributing to projects that power critical industrial applications. This role offers flexible hours to accommodate your studies and a chance to work on real-world challenges in a dynamic, international team environment.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Assisting in the design, development, and testing of embedded software components for industrial automation systems.
- Conducting thorough debugging and troubleshooting of embedded systems and hardware-software interfaces.
- Supporting the integration and validation of new features and functionalities into existing platforms.
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including specifications and test reports.
- Participating actively in code reviews, team meetings, and project discussions.
- Researching and evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to embedded systems development.
- Collaborating with senior engineers to implement solutions and resolve technical issues.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid understanding of C/C++ programming language.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and their architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M).
- Basic knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for effective communication within our international team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in embedded systems development.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Prior experience with embedded Linux or real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
- Knowledge of common communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Basic understanding of hardware design principles and schematic reading.
- Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes).
- German language skills are a plus.
