Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a highly motivated and English-speaking Direct Air Capture (DAC) Engineer to join our innovative team in Salzgitter, Germany. This hybrid role involves working both on-site at our state-of-the-art facilities and remotely, contributing to the development and optimization of our groundbreaking carbon capture technologies. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be instrumental in advancing solutions that address climate change and drive sustainable practices within the energy sector. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of DAC projects, from conceptual design and simulation to pilot plant operation and performance analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer passionate about making a tangible impact on environmental sustainability.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design, simulate, and optimize Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems and components.
- Conduct experimental validation and performance testing of DAC prototypes and pilot plants.
- Analyze data from operational DAC units to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including material scientists, chemical engineers, and project managers.
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical documentation.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in carbon capture technologies and contribute to research and development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations in all project phases.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in carbon capture technologies, process engineering, or a related industrial sector.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with pilot plant operation and scale-up.
- Knowledge of techno-economic analysis for DAC projects.
- Proficiency in German language.
