Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toolmaker / Machinist to join our precision engineering team in Vernier, Geneva. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of high-precision tools, jigs, and fixtures used in our advanced machining processes. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment, contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of our product development and production cycles. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining principles, and a commitment to producing components of exceptional accuracy.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Manufacture, assemble, and repair complex precision tools, jigs, fixtures, and machine components using various manual and CNC machining techniques.
• Operate and program a range of machine tools including milling machines, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models with high precision.
• Perform precise measurements using a variety of metrology equipment to ensure components meet strict tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, machinery, and production processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to optimize tooling designs and manufacturing methods.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker or Precision Machinist.
• Strong proficiency in operating and setting up manual and CNC machine tools (milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
• Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models.
• Exceptional mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Fluency in English (working knowledge of French or German is a plus).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Vocational qualification or apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Precision Machining, or a related field.
• Experience with CAM software (e.g., SolidCAM, Mastercam, hyperMILL).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Prior experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, watchmaking).
