Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Public Health Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of global public health, supporting WHO’s initiatives and programs. The successful candidate will contribute to research, data analysis, communication, and project coordination activities, working alongside experienced public health professionals. This is a fully remote position, allowing flexibility and collaboration across different time zones.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in conducting literature reviews and synthesizing scientific evidence on public health topics.
• Support the collection, cleaning, and preliminary analysis of public health data.
• Contribute to the development of public health reports, presentations, and communication materials.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and workshops, actively contributing ideas and insights.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for public health projects and events.
• Assist in drafting policy briefs, guidelines, and other relevant documents.
• Monitor global health trends and emerging public health issues.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Public Health, Global Health, Epidemiology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of public health principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Enrollment in a Master's or PhD program.
• Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS) or data visualization tools.
• Experience with scientific writing or preparing policy briefs.
• Prior volunteer experience or coursework in a public health setting.
• Knowledge of an additional UN official language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian).
