Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hybrid Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our dynamic engineering team in Wels, Upper Austria. This role requires a professional capable of translating complex naval architectural designs into detailed technical drawings and documentation. The successful candidate will work on a variety of marine-related projects, contributing to the design and development of innovative solutions. Strong proficiency in English is essential for international collaboration and project communication. This is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of on-site collaboration and remote work.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and models for naval architecture projects using CAD software.
• Collaborate with naval architects and engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate drawings.
• Prepare production drawings for hull structures, outfitting, machinery arrangements, and systems.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Maintain and update drawing archives, ensuring version control and data integrity.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize designs.
• Communicate effectively in English with international teams and clients.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and bills of materials.
• Perform self-quality checks on own work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar CAD software for 2D and 3D drafting.
• Solid understanding of naval architecture principles and marine engineering concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant maritime regulations and classification society rules.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with specialized marine design software (e.g., ShipConstructor, NUPAS-CADMATIC, AVEVA Marine).
• Understanding of shipbuilding processes and manufacturing techniques.
• Prior experience in a shipbuilding yard, marine design office, or related industry.
• Knowledge of German is a plus, but not required.
