Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hybrid Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our dynamic engineering team in Neubau, Vienna. This role is crucial for transforming design concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans for various marine projects, including specialized vessels and offshore structures. The successful candidate will work closely with naval architects and engineers, contributing significantly to the entire project lifecycle from initial design through to construction documentation. This position requires strong proficiency in English for all technical communications and documentation and will operate under a hybrid work model, balancing office and remote work.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, plans, and specifications for various marine vessels and structures, adhering to industry standards and classification society rules.
• Translate conceptual designs from naval architects into accurate production drawings, including general arrangements, structural details, outfitting, and machinery layouts.
• Revise and update existing drawings and documentation based on design changes, project requirements, and feedback from engineers and clients.
• Collaborate with naval architects, marine engineers, and project managers to ensure design integrity, feasibility, and compliance with all specifications.
• Perform calculations related to stability, scantlings, and other relevant naval architecture aspects as required for drafting purposes.
• Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving and optimization efforts.
• Ensure all work is completed within established timelines and budget constraints.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, SolidWorks, Aveva Marine) with specific experience in naval architecture or marine design.
• Strong understanding of shipbuilding principles, marine terminology, and drafting standards.
• Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for all technical communication.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to design challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Classification Society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS).
• Familiarity with various vessel types (e.g., river barges, specialized workboats, offshore structures).
• Experience with product data management (PDM) systems.
• German language skills are a plus, but not required for the role.
