Stellenbeschreibung

We are looking for a passionate and talented 3D Animation Intern to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring animators to gain hands-on experience in a professional game development environment. You will work closely with experienced animators and designers, contributing to various aspects of 3D character and object animation. This fully remote position offers flexibility and the chance to learn from industry experts while working on exciting projects. You will be instrumental in bringing our virtual worlds and characters to life, developing your skills and portfolio along the way. We encourage creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist senior animators in creating high-quality 3D animations for characters, props, and environments.
• Learn and apply animation principles to produce realistic and stylized movements.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Iterate on animations based on feedback from the art director and lead animators.
• Help maintain animation pipelines and ensure consistency across projects.
• Research and gather reference materials to inform animation creation.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new animation ideas and visual storytelling.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
• Basic understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, weight, etc.).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating fundamental animation skills (personal projects, student work are welcome).
• Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on work.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Animation, Game Art, or a related field.
• Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Experience with rigging and skinning characters.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python (for animation tools).
• Passion for video games and an understanding of gameplay animation needs.
