We are seeking an innovative and experienced English Speaking Polymer Chemist to join our dynamic R&D team in Nürnberg. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge polymer research and development, focusing on sustainable and high-performance materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in polymer chemistry, materials science, and a passion for developing next-generation solutions. You will be instrumental in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing novel polymer systems, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to commercialization.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and synthesize novel polymer materials with specified properties for various applications.
• Perform comprehensive characterization of polymers using techniques such as GPC, NMR, FTIR, DSC, TGA, and mechanical testing.
• Develop and optimize polymerization processes and formulations.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineers, material scientists, and application development teams.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in polymer chemistry and materials science.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all experimental work.
• Mentor junior chemists and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in polymer synthesis and characterization.
• Proficiency in various polymerization techniques (e.g., radical, living, condensation polymerization).
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques for polymer characterization.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experimental design skills.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with sustainable polymers or bio-based materials.
• Knowledge of polymer rheology and processing.
• Familiarity with intellectual property processes and patent literature.
• German language skills are a plus, but not required.
