We are seeking a talented and innovative Hybrid AR/VR Interaction Designer to join our dynamic team in Salzburg. In this role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping intuitive and engaging user experiences for cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including researchers, engineers, and product managers to translate complex technical requirements into user-centered design solutions that push the boundaries of immersive technology. This is a hybrid position, requiring a presence in our Salzburg office for collaborative work while offering flexibility.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and iterate on AR/VR interaction models, user flows, and wireframes, considering spatial computing paradigms.
• Create detailed prototypes (low-fidelity to high-fidelity) to test and validate design concepts and usability.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and optimal implementation of design specifications.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and component libraries specific to AR/VR interfaces.
• Stay abreast of emerging AR/VR technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation.
• Present design concepts and rationales clearly and persuasively to stakeholders and team members.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or similar role with a focus on AR/VR.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing for immersive environments and spatial interactions.
• Proficiency with 3D design tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Gravity Sketch, Blender) for prototyping and concept visualization.
• Expertise in UX/UI design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) for 2D interfaces within AR/VR.
• Solid understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles, cognitive psychology, and usability best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with advanced prototyping tools specific to AR/VR (e.g., Oculus Integration, MRTK).
• Familiarity with game design principles and storytelling techniques.
• Basic knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g., C#, Python) for interactive prototypes.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
